Pizza

Ingredients
Pizza Sauce:
8 oz. tomato sauce
6 oz. tomato paste
1/4 teaspoon thyme
1/4 teaspoon oregano
1/4 teaspoon rosemary
1/2 teaspoon caraway seed
1 clove garlic
1 bay leaf

Crust:  Makes 2
1 1/2 cup warm water
1 tablespoon yeast
2 teaspoons sugar
4 tablespoons oil
2 teaspoons salt
4 cups flour

Notes / Directions
Sauce:
Bring to boil. Because sauce is thick, it will bubble and pop. Reduce heat, and simmer
10-15 minutes, stirring as needed to prevent burning. Cool. Can be frozen at this point.
(I usually triple the recipe then freeze/thaw/re-freeze as I use it over the next couple of
months.)

Crust:
Combine warm water, yeast, and sugar in mixing bowl. Let yeast begin to foam. Add
remaining ingredients, adding more flour if needed. Divide dough in half. Roll out and
place on pizza pan.

Cover with sauce, mozzarella cheese, and toppings (pepperoni, green pepper, chopped
onion, olives, ham, pineapple, mushrooms, tomatoes, sausage—whatever your family
likes).

Bake 12-15 minutes at 450°.
